A Celebration of Sound: Join Us for Piano Day Berlin 2025
An Evening of Music, Emotion, and Connection
Dear friends, after several years of quiet, it’s with immense excitement that we at piano and coffee return to the live music scene to present Piano Day Berlin 2025. We’ve been waiting for this moment, and we’re so happy it’s finally here.
On March 29, join us at Rough Trade’s Neukölln store for an intimate celebration of the piano, its evolving sound, and the artists who continue to redefine it. This year marks the 10th anniversary of Piano Day, and we’re honoured to be a part of it alongside Rough Trade and Herbert Music.
The lineup features two stunning musicians:
Vetle Nærø, hailing from Ålesund, Norway, crafts music that blends classical influences with contemporary minimalism. His sound—shaped by composers like Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Philip Glass, and Arvo Pärt, as well as his exploration of jazz—has a raw and spontaneous energy. His albums, especially Introspection (2021) and From Moments (2023), reflect his evolution as an artist, with the latter being a deeply personal and expressive work. Vetle’s music has a quiet intensity that draws you in, allowing you to experience both the complexity and simplicity of the piano.
Joining him will be Zuzanna Całka, a Polish pianist and composer whose work explores the intersection of classical piano and modern techniques, often inspired by film and electronic music. Her debut EP Late Night Takes (2023) was featured on Nils Frahm’s Piano Day playlist, and her live performances across Europe—at festivals like OPIA, LAS, and Summer Contrast—have earned her a growing, devoted following. Zuzanna’s music is immersive and multi-layered, using both the piano and synthesizers to create mesmerizing, trance-like soundscapes. Her ability to blend tradition with experimentation creates something deeply hypnotic and emotional.
